Civil Procedure
Civil Procedure focuses on the choices open to litigants and how the rules of procedure facilitate or prevent the attainment of those objectives in an adversary jury trail system. Many trial topics are covered, specifically the procedural devices that arise out of the relationships among the parties, the judge, and the jury, the right to a jury trial, special verdicts, instructions to the jury, etc. Other major areas of concentration include pleadings, jurisdiction, federalism, class actions, discovery, preclusion, and the rules that regulate the joinder of parties and claims.
